The last Sunday in June is Log Cabin Day in Michigan! Children and adults both are invited to visit our 1880’s pioneer log cabin and imagine life in the pioneer days. Enjoy beautiful Fleming Creek while the children do chores – gathering water, washing clothes, and shelling corn to take to the mill. Try your hand at some old-time crafts with the Michigan Folk School. Docents will lead tours of the fully operational 1870’s grist mill, demonstrating how the mill used water power to grind wheat and corn. Children are invited to dress up in pioneer clothing for this day! No registration required for this open house style event.
