Bluey’s Big Play

Bluey’s Big Play is a beautiful theatrical adaptation of the popular Aussey series, with an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, and new music by Bluey composer, Joff Bush. Join the Heelers in a live theatre show made just for families, featuring brilliantly created puppets and a heart-warming story. This is the Bluey you know as you’ve never seen it before, brought to real life.

Spring Into Science

  • When: Thursday – Saturday
  • Where: Cranbrook Institute of Science, Bloomfield

Spend spring break at the Institute and explore the natural world around us! As the seasons begin to change, learn about the wonders of our ecosystem with various local environmental organizations through engaging hands-on activities. All activities are FREE with the purchase of general admission.

FREE Marshmallow Drops

  • When: Friday Morning
  • Where: Elizabeth Park (Trenton) @ 9am; Catalpa Oaks County Park (Southfield) @ 10am; Nankin Mills Recreation Area (Westland) @ 11am

Get ready to run. Thousands of marshmallows will float from the sky for your kids to collect and turn in for a prize. Kids go out in three separate groups based on age: 4 and younger, 5 to 7 years old and 8 years and older. This is a FREE community event, and no registration is required.

Bunnyville @ The Detroit Zoo

  • When: Friday & Saturday
  • Where: Detroit Zoo, Royal Oak

At this annual, family-friendly “egg-stravanza,” you can ring in the season with fun activities sure to put a hop in your step. Bunnyville features a 24 “carrot” Golden egg hunt, whisker painting, live entertainment, a Zoo Tales Story Trail, photos with the Easter Bunny and so much more!

Easter Bunny Photos

  • When: Friday – Sunday
  • Where: Great Lakes Crossing, Auburn Hills

Bunny photos will be held from March 1st-30th. Purchase a select photo package and get a complimentary ticket to LEGOLAND Discovery Center, SEA LIFE Michigan, and Peppa Pig World of Play.

Drop-In Workshop: Bug Puppets

  • When: Friday & Saturday
  • Where: Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit

Weaving is an ancient art form that dates back thousands of years and has been practiced by many cultures around the world. Stop by the DIA Art Making studio and learn how to use a simple loom and make your own woven piece of art to take home. All materials provided. Residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb county can visit the DIA for free.

Easter Fun Fest

  • Where: Crowell Recreation Center, Detroit

Detroit Parks & Recreation is bringing FREE FUN that includes a carnival, big top circus, Bunnyland and more! Go on rides, bounce on inflatables, get On The Clock with the Detroit Lions and more!

Easter Egg-stravaganza

  • When: Saturday, March 30th
  • Where: Blake’s Orchard, Armada

Children & Families will enjoy an easter egg scramble (approximately 15 minutes), a photo opportunity with the Easter bunny (snap your own photo), train rides though the orchard, free face painting, children’s Easter crafts, and all-day access to Funland which includes an animal petting farm, jumping pillows, swings, tricycle track, inflatables & more!

Bunny Bash

  • When: Saturday, March 30th
  • Where: Heritage Park, Taylor

Join us at the Heritage Park Petting Farm on Saturday for a fun egg hunt and visit with the Spring Bunny! Tickets are admission to the farm, and need to be purchased for both adults and children.

Canterbury Eggstravaganza

  • When: Friday & Saturday
  • Where: Canterbury Village, Orion Township

! Children can collect 10 bunny eggs from the helicopter drop zone and redeem them at our shops for prizes! Lots of fun activities throughout the village too – Lawn Games, Petting Zoo, FREE Photos with the Easter Bunny in the carousel pavilion, and bounce houses!
