Looking for a great day trip? Grab the kids and head to the Imagination Station in Toledo, Ohio.
The museum has two floors of fun, sections broken down by what they entail, film theater and traveling exhibits. All hands on and tons of fun! Imagination Station is filled with amazing hands-on experiences. Make sure to ask when you walk in when the extreme science performances are. The kids get to participate in hands on learning such as how sound moves, and the laws of motion.
Where else can you ride a bicycle across a tight-rope above the museum filled with people! (Must be at least 52″ or taller) There is a dedicated kids spot and babies area that is fenced in. It includes a quiet room for those who may get over stimulated, a dedicated infant room, a play hospital, grocery store, tree fort, building area and so much more! *Parent hack* There is two seperate water areas so packing an extra shirt and pants or two might be a good idea!
The mind zone is sure to have you questioning reality. From the perspective house, the wacky room built on its side, hypnotic images, this area is a can’t miss. Sim theatre has tons of science based hands-on activities. Watch how a small movement can effect change, control a robot, see how solar power works and create a domino maze! Make sure you stop at The Science of Guinness World Records traveling exhibit on your way out. Create a profile, and compete to earn the top scores and maybe even break a world record! You can shoot basketballs, play dance dance revolution, or attempt to be the fastest puncher in your family. Just to mention a few!
