It’s President’s Day off for some and mid-winter break for others. If your kids are home this week, make the most of the time off with these activities.

Make A Splash – Staycation

You don’t have to take a trip to Florida to make a splash on break. Pull out the swimsuits, floaties and googles for indoor fun at a local aquatic center. You can also drop-in to open family swim lessons at Goldfish Swim School – hours vary per location so check each site.

Enjoy A Day In the D

From island getaway (Belle Isle) to big city living and throwback fun, there’s SO much to do in Detroit. Be a tourist in your own town and spend time downtown.

Do Something NEW

If you need an excuse to try something new, here are a few favorites that are worth the time and the trips.

Hit The Road & Head To Grand Rapids

Take a quick 2-hour drive to Grand Rapids for fun inside and out – the FREE outdoor winter festival can be enjoyed throughout downtown thru March 10th. Grand Rapids is home to Michigan’s only Presidential Museum and visiting the Gerald Ford Museum at President’s Day is a fun and educational family trip.
