School is right around the corner and time is running to complete the 2021 Summer Checklist. Have fun and make memories with these fun family activities.
Splash Pads: A personal favorite, the kids can cool down, run around and swimming outfits are optional because the sun can dry their clothes if necessary.
Outdoor Movie: Whether it’s the drive-in or movie in the park, stay up past bedtime and watch a new release or family favorite on the big screen.
Beaches: Pack up sand toys, umbrella, plenty of towels and find your spot in the sand for an afternoon of fun in the sun.
Sporting Event: Baseball is a national pastime and there are plenty of places to catch a game.
Farmers Market: Find fresh produce, shop local vendors at a farmers’ market.
New Playground: We will travel for a playground and have found plenty that are worth the trip. Check out a new park or two this summer.
Storytime/Story Walk: Sign up for summer reading at your local library and join a story time or stroll a story walk.
Garden Picnic: Stop and smell the roses. Plan a picnic at a public garden.
Animal Visit: Go wild at the zoo, find a big read barn, or both! Kids love visiting animals – and so do we.
Ice Cream Night: Sweeten up your day with a surprise pre-bedtime treat. Whether it’s your local favorite or somewhere new, you can’t beat ice cream.
Festival/Fairs: They’re back! Go on rides, eat fried foods and stay up late for fireworks.
