LAST CHANCE – Paw Patrol Adventure Play @ The Henry Ford

  • When: Friday – Sunday
  • Where: The Henry Ford, Dearborn

Marshall, Chase, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, and Tracker are all represented at the exhibit. Your kids will team up with others to figure out how to overcome challenges and save the day. The exhibit is included with general admission to the museum.

DeBuck’s Tulip Festival

  • When: Friday – Sunday
  • Where: DeBuck’s Family Farm

Stroll the vibrant, butterfly shaped tulip fields at DeBuck’s Family Farm this spring. The garden experience debuts Wednesday, April 24th and runs through Sunday, May 12th. In addition to the tulip fields, families can also enjoy a dozen other outdoor activities: Wagon Rides, pedal cars, giant slide, giant corn hole, playgrounds and more. After you’re done with the activities stop by one of DeBuck’s food stands for tasty treats including donuts, kettle corn, cotton candy, funnel cakes, and much more.

Grand Rapids Lantern Festival

  • When: Friday – Sunday
  • Where: John Ball Zoo, Grand Rapids

John Ball Zoo is a gem and during the Lantern Festival it glows. The lantern festival features handcrafted Asian lantern displays that illuminate a pathway through the entire zoo, telling the intersecting story of wildlife and Asian culture. Throughout the walk you can stop to get photos with displays (including Chinese Zodiac sign and angel wings), stop for bubble fun, sneak off to the illuminated play area and more.

Macomb Ballet Company presents Peter Pan

  • When: Friday – Sunday
  • Where: Macomb Center, Clinton Township

This ballet adaptation of J.M. Berry’s timeless tale brings beloved characters – Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Wendy Darling and Captain Hook – to life through the language of dance, music and storytelling. Audience members will watch in amazement as MBC dancers ‘take flight,’ soaring to new heights with enchanting choreography, costumes, and a set that captures the spirit of Neverland.

Fireside Fun

  • When: Friday, 5:30pm to 9pm
  • Where: Leslie Science & Nature Center, Ann Arbor

There’s nothing quite as relaxing as sitting around a campfire and swapping stories! We’ll provide a blazing outdoor campfire and roasting utensils- you provide the rest! Bring your family, friends, camp chairs, outdoor games, and anything else you need to create the perfect Michigan memory. Outdoor fires are held rain or shine (except for thunder and lightning), so come dressed for the weather.

Celebrate Spring

  • When: Saturday & Sunday
  • Where: Heritage Park, Taylor

Celebrate Spring at Heritage Park in Taylor. Visit the farm and go on pony rides.

Sheep Shearing & Pancake Breakfast

  • When: Saturday, 9am to 11am
  • Where: Hess-Hathaway Park, Waterford

Come down to the farm at Hess-Hathaway Park to see our sheep getting sheared and spinners spinning the wool. Then grab a bite at the pancake breakfast, cash only.

Football Fan Fun Run

  • When: Saturday, 9am to 10am
  • Where: Cullen Plaza, Detroit

Meet at Cullen Plaza (1340 Atwater) for a group run/walk in partnership with Detroit Body Garage on Saturday, April 27th. Warmups begin at 9am, followed by a 2 mile walk/run route on a loop along the Riverfront. After the run, enjoy free rides on the Cullen Family Carousel and refreshments for purchase from the Riverwalk Cafe. All ages welcome (including little ones in strollers), and registration is not required

Mom2Mom Sale

Sensory Swim: Goldfish Swim School

  • When: Sunday, 8:30am to 9:30am
  • Where: Goldfish Swim School, Ann Arbor

Everyone deserves the chance to have fun in the water, which is why we are proud to announce that we will be hosting this Sensory Swim Event to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month! We’ve taken extra precaution to minimize overstimulation by turning down the lights, turning off the music, and reducing the pool capacity to help provide a calmer environment for our attendees. So join us on April 21st and make waves at this free event!

Sky Tykes

  • When: Sunday, 12pm to 4pm
  • Where: Howell Nature Center

Our pint-sized adventure seekers now have a mini ropes course of their own! Come enjoy our newest addition to our public park. Walk alongside your child or step back and watch them take part in the fun! As they explore the course and test their limits, they’re securely harnessed in and monitored by a Nature Center staff member. Closed toed shoes are required and children must be under 48 inches (4ft) to participate.

World Dance Day

  • When: Sunday, 4pm to 6pm
  • Where: Oak Park Community Center

World Dance Day, also known as International Dance Day, was first celebrated in 1982. April 29 was chosen as the date to commemorate Jean-Georges Noverre’s birthday, a French ballet master. The goal of World Dance Day is to encourage dance programs in schools, and to provide an occasion for the public to enjoy and participate in the art of dance.
